What will you learn?

Work on a live project to produce a Podcast for online content, have the opportunity to have your podcast broadcasted on BCE’s Podcast channel, and learn: 

1. The principles of Podcasting and how to apply them to your own Podcast

2. How to record your Podcast using a range of online programmes including Clean Feed and Zencastr.

3. About hosting your Podcast on Sound Cloud and Podbean.

4. How to plan your Podcast to maximize your engagement with your audience.

5. About producing an effective introduction to your series.

6. How to edit your Podcasts and export them to your chosen Podcast host.

7. To create Podcasts for both your own personal feed and for business.

8. A range of interview and audio skills to support your creative career and portfolio

Owen Davis

Teaches: Content Creation for Social Media, 2D Animation and Podcast

My name is Owen and I’ve been working in the creative industries as a content creator and Visual Effects artist for short films, documentaries and YouTube videos for over 7 years. I’m currently producing social media videos and podcasts for a number of charities. A tutor on the Apprenticeships and AEB courses, I enjoy teaching and the opportunity to work with students to develop their creative ideas.

The Media courses are great; extremely in depth and gives a great understanding of the overall subject. It also provides you with opportunities within the industry. The atmosphere is extremely welcoming and it is very easy to fit into, especially for new students. I would recommend to anyone looking for a great, creative place.

What a fantastic experience! I thoroughly enjoyed the Digital Advertising course in September 2021, lectured by Trevor. I have learned so much in just over a period of 4 weeks. Trevor ensured that I understood each lesson and had regular "check-in" with each of us as students.
