About the Apprenticeship

We’re excited to launch our most recent apprenticeship standard – 2D Artist: Visual Effects. It allows us to collaborate with even more organisations from the creative industries. We’re innovators in our field and work both strategically and creatively to capitalise on new opportunities across the spectrum. Our recent app development projects see us partnering with industry leaders such as Amazon AWS and Microsoft as we continue to help young creatives build the career of their dreams.

How it works

Creative Apprenticeship Standards are level 3 apprenticeships (A level equivalent), combining work-based learning with ‘off the job training’.

Big Creative apprentices are trained in specific skills relevant to the events industries by industry professionals, utilising cutting edge digital and online delivery, industry masterclasses and practical projects.

Big Creative Education have developed a unique training model that offers our Visual Effects apprentices the following:
  • Monthly tutorials / industry masterclasses
  • Online learning platform
  • Video 1-1 tutorials
  • Access to specialist guest speakers
  • Support from an industry specialist assessor

Delivery sessions will include an in-person workshop format, webinar and remote learning options.

Entry Requirements

Aged 16 +
Minimum of 5 GCSEs A*- C, including Maths and English (4 or above in the new GCSE scales).
