Develop Talent
Students take a vocational subject to develop their skills and hone their talent. Whether it’s music, art and design, performing arts or sports, the courses are project based so that learners respond to a brief, refine their processes and evaluate their work. Teaching is outstanding at Big Creative Academy which translates into better outcomes for learners. We use a professional insight matrix rather than a static observation process. This helps us to identify strengths in teaching, and you can pursue your interests in pedagogy. We want you to keep developing as a practitioner.
Transform Lives
Wellbeing is huge at the Academy and students have a class a week as part of their own personal development. The creative arts is a competitive sector which requires drive and motivation and we prepare learners for this.
Wellbeing is highly valued by the students as an opportunity to discuss hot topics and how they’re feeling in a calm and relaxed environment.
Create Careers
The majority of both teaching and support staff are dual practitioners and work in the industry alongside their position at the Academy. It provides for great credibility with the students. We also have employer ambassadors for each curriculum area who work with the students on live briefs.
Careers are embedded throughout the curriculum, coaching the students to achieve their ambitions.
They leave us with professional portfolios and career plans ready to make it in the real world.
