This one-year course will offer learners a deeper exploration into the world
of Creative Media. This course is for dedicated individuals that would like a career in media and love to create content. Along the way, you will meet industry experts as well as explore existing bodies of work based in the TV, radio, film and graphic design industries in order to learn the best practice for your own, original projects. Furthermore, you will be undertaking work experience either internationally or within the UK. During this practical-led course, you will learn:

This foundation course into the world of Digital Media is a great entry point for people who are interested in a career in media, but might not know which area. You will engage with weekly practical-led workshops that will train you in camera, sound, editing and graphic design. All of our Media students have access to high profile trips and work experience at companies such as SKY Academy, ITN News and BBC productions. During this one-year course, students will undertake a methodical approach to media skills. This includes:

Big Creative Training Limited (BCT) is an independent training provider based in Walthamstow. BCT opened in 2000 and offers creative industries programmes for 16 to 19, apprenticeships, adult courses and alternative provision. BCT is rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted in all areas.
Big Creative Academy (BCA) is a 16 to 19 academy based in Walthamstow. The academy opened in September 2014 and offers study programmes for students aged 16 to 19 in subjects to prepare them primarily for further study or employment in the creative industries. BCA is rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted
Teachers have very good subject knowledge and industrial experience, as well as strong commercial links with practitioners and employers; they use these effectively to help inspire students and provide a strongly vocational context to their development.
All staff work closely with students to help them overcome any barriers to learning, to assure their health and welfare, to maintain good behaviour and a positive work ethic; as a result, students feel safe and are able to achieve their potential.
