This course has been designed for young people interested in creating and composing music to a professional level. Learners also have the unique opportunity to develop their understanding of how the music industry works, receiving tutorials from producers and engineers.
BCE Music Production students use state-of-the-art equipment and industry-standard software to compose and produce music.
Level 3 students will have the opportunity to develop further production skills and techniques to hone their performance abilities.

This two-year course is for students who want to further develop their skills in the production of music. This includes engineering, songwriting and technical production across industry standard equipment. You will commit to a series of production workshops, as well as a theoretical study of the music industry. This course aims to get you ready for the world of music and encourage you to develop your creative ideas, within a framework of industry practices.

Entry Requirements Level 3: 5 GCSEs at grade 4-9 including English (or equivalent)
These courses are for students looking to start their careers as music producers, engineers and songwriters. They focus on developing your understanding and skillset of music production, from writing music using computer software to recording instruments and artists in our recording studios. On this one-year course you will complete a total of 8 units, which have been specifically designed to aid your personal development and expand your knowledge of music careers.

Entry Requirements Level 2: 3 GCSEs at grade 3 or above including English (or equivalent)
These courses are for students looking to start their careers as music producers, engineers and songwriters. Big Creative Training Limited (BCT) is an independent training provider based in Walthamstow. BCT opened in 2000 and offers creative industries programmes for 16 to 19, apprenticeships, adult courses and alternative provision. BCT is rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted in all areas.
Big Creative Academy (BCA) is a 16 to 19 academy based in Walthamstow. The academy opened in September 2014 and offers study programmes for students aged 16 to 19 in subjects to prepare them primarily for further study or employment in the creative industries. BCA is rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted
Teachers have very good subject knowledge and industrial experience, as well as strong commercial links with practitioners and employers; they use these effectively to help inspire students and provide a strongly vocational context to their development.
All staff work closely with students to help them overcome any barriers to learning, to assure their health and welfare, to maintain good behaviour and a positive work ethic; as a result, students feel safe and are able to achieve their potential.
